Where is the coolant in Nomad Drive?

Two descriptions of the same bottle

An achievement is named Radiator Fluid: “Drink coolant. Don’t.” That is the studio acknowledging a coolant item, and telling you not to drink it.

On 28 June 2026 a Steam thread titled Searching for Coolant has several players saying they put water in the radiator. One person writes that the game only has two liquids and that the word coolant made them hunt for a bottle that was not there. A 20 June thread repeats the same workaround with a bucket of water, a water jug, and two water bottles.

A later review thread has one German-language reply: plain water works only when the radiator is completely empty, with no coolant left in it, and mixing the two fails. That sentence has one source. I am quoting it as one player’s condition, not as the system.

What you can do with that

This is a reading of the threads, not a studio tutorial.

• Read the heat warning and locate the radiator interaction prompt. A current labeled fill-point image was not available in these public sources, so I am not naming a compartment or a key.
• If you have a coolant item, that is what the achievement name points at.
• If you only have drinking water, players report a bucket, jug, or bottles will satisfy the radiator. Spending all of your drinking water here is the tradeoff the water page warns about.
• The “empty first” condition is a single reply. Try it as a second attempt, and do not treat a failed mix as proof the engine is ruined. Nobody official has said that.
