Nomad Drive and The Long Drive ask you to keep a bad vehicle alive on a long road. They are not the same product. The split that the store pages actually print is co-op, age, and price.
On 30 October 2026 The Long Drive was $15.99, in Early Access since 25 September 2019, solo with Remote Play Together. Nomad Drive was $14.99 shown at $13.49, Early Access since 27 October 2026, online co-op for 1–4.
Four differences the pages support
Remote Play Together is Steam’s feature for sharing a local game. It is not the same sentence as Nomad Drive’s online co-op lobby.

What Nomad Drive’s studio said it is not building
A 22 June 2026 reply says the team is working on interior upgrades, new places, new food, and roadblocks, and is not building sanity, hunting, or deep crafting. If your Long Drive habit is the deep crafting pile, that reply is the relevant sentence. Survival pressure that is documented here is hunger, thirst, energy, and poison, retuned in the same month.

Which should I buy for co-op?
Nomad Drive lists online co-op. The Long Drive lists Remote Play Together, which is a different feature.
Is Nomad Drive a Long Drive clone?
Players argue both ways in a June 2026 thread. The store pages show different player modes and a seven-year gap in Early Access age.
